The jig compresses the ornament for drilling the "stage" and has provisions for the finial and top. Tommy Jeffers showed a large chess piece (a bishop). Com Canfield showed some small cherry bowls of differing grain orientation and style. He also showed a large, deep Ash crotch vessel in progress. Notice the strapping for support in the hollowing process.
