Kathy Roberts brought a jig for making "stage front" Christmas ornaments and
a couple samples. The jig compresses the ornament for drilling the "stage"
and has provisions for the finial and top. Tommy Jeffers showed a large
chess piece (a bishop). James Hamptons Walnut bowl using texture and color.
Uel Clanton, usually a production turner, made a large bowl from a striking
piece of spalted Pecan. Com Canfield showed some small cherry bowls of
differing grain orientation and style. He also showed a large, deep Ash
crotch vessel in progress. Notice the strapping for support in the hollowing
process.
Tony McComas brought a vessel highlighting his piece of Big Leaf Maple burl.
Paul Hewett showed his Bradford Pear bowl and a Mesquite vessel.
